Co-owner and head pastry chef, Katie Hutches, started making macarons in her free time while teaching kindergarten in Chicago. What started as a stress-relieving pastime quickly grew into a true passion. Her macarons swiftly gained a devoted following among acquaintances and colleagues, including discerning palates and Francophiles, all of whom declared them the finest they'd ever tasted and urged her to sell them. This overwhelming encouragement led Katie and her husband, Andy, to launch Offbeat Macarons & Sweets in the summer of 2023. The two are excited to offer their treats to anyone looking for delicious and quality macarons, cakes, cookies, and pies.
